Who We Are
Arolite Group is a roofing and exteriors company based at 133 Church Street in downtown Asheville. We have been doing this under our own name for about two years, and in that time the business has come to center on the three trades we want to be known for: roofing, siding and gutters. The trucks and the shirts say Roofing and Exteriors, and that is where our crews spend their weeks.
Arolite Group is family owned and operated. The way we work comes from years of selling and building roofs in homeowners’ driveways: inspect first, explain the findings in person, hand over a written price, and let the homeowner decide without pressure. On the job, that means checking the decking after every tear-off, flashing every valley properly, and leaving the yard the way we found it. Our crew lead is on site every day, and customers describe us the same way in their reviews: direct, honest and easy to work with.

What We Do
We replace and repair roofs, install standing seam and Tuff-Rib metal, handle storm and wind damage with the documentation your insurer needs, install siding, and install, clean and maintain gutters. We install shingle systems from manufacturers such as CertainTeed, and we price shingle and metal on your actual roof so you can compare them honestly.
Roofing, siding and gutters are the heart of the business. We started out as a general remodeler, and some of our reviews reflect that range of work. Roofing in the mountains is hard enough to deserve a crew that does it every week, so that is where we put our focus. If your house needs something beyond the exterior, ask during the inspection and we will talk it through with you.
How a Job Runs
1. Free inspection
An exterior consultant comes to the house, gets on the roof and photographs every slope, valley, chimney and vent. You get a straight read on what is there, whether that is a roof with years left, a repair that will hold, or a replacement that should not wait another winter.
2. Written price, in person
We sit down with you, walk through the photos and hand you a written, itemized price. Tear-off, decking, underlayment, shingles or panels, flashing, gutters if you want them, and cleanup, each on its own line. If financing would help, we cover that at the same table.
3. Install, with daily updates and daily cleanup
The crew works the full day and keeps you posted as the job goes. Every evening the yard gets cleaned before the trailer leaves. On a steep mountain roof with a lot of tree cover that matters more than it sounds, because what comes off a roof here ends up in the beds, the gutters and the driveway if nobody is paying attention. This is why we invested in an Equipter, which lets us remove all of the debris without any of it touching your beds or damaging the sides of your home.
4. Final walkthrough
When the work is done, we walk it with you. Ridge caps, flashing, drip edge, downspout discharge, the yard. If anything is not right, it gets fixed before we call the job finished.
Where We Work
Our home territory is Buncombe, Haywood and Henderson counties, and we also serve the rest of Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina. From the office that means Asheville and its neighborhoods, east to Black Mountain and the Swannanoa valley, west along I-40 to Waynesville and up US-19 into Maggie Valley, and south on I-26 to Hendersonville, Flat Rock and Fletcher.
Why Asheville Homeowners Choose a Local Crew
Roofing in Western North Carolina is not the same job as roofing in the flat parts of the state. Pitches are steeper, the tree canopy is heavier, and a north-facing slope at elevation can hold ice long after the sun has cleared the rest of the roof. Ridgeline homes take wind that a house in a hollow never sees. Oak leaves and pine needles fill valleys and gutters every fall, and the freeze and thaw at elevation finds every weak spot in the flashing. A crew that has only ever worked a suburban subdivision does not know this until the callbacks start.
Helene in September 2024 brought a second problem: a wave of out-of-town storm contractors through the mountains, and a lot of homeowners came out of that year wary of anyone with a ladder and a clipboard. One of our own customers put it plainly in a review, that after Helene it is hard to trust people in this business. We cannot fix that for the whole industry, but we can be the company with a downtown office, a local phone number and a family that still picks up a year after the job.
- The same people, start to finish. The exterior consultant who inspects your roof explains the price, and the same family-run company that sold the job is the one checking it.
- A price you can read. Written and itemized, explained at your kitchen table, with no number quoted over the phone before anyone has seen the roof.
- Quality over the lowest bid. We are not the bargain roofer. We would rather lose a job to a cheaper quote than put on a roof we have to apologize for.
- One crew for the whole exterior. Roof, siding and gutters from the same team means the flashing, drip edge and hangers get done by people who know what the others did.
If that sounds like the kind of company you want on your roof, the next step is a free inspection. Call (828) 818-8392, Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, or send the form on our contact page and we will get back to you to set a time.
