The three trades belong together because they meet at the same edge of the house. The roof sheds water onto the drip edge, the drip edge hands it to the gutter, and the gutter and the siding decide whether that water ends up in the yard or behind the wall. When one crew handles all three, the flashing, fascia, house wrap and downspouts get planned as one system instead of three contractors each stopping where the next one starts. On a lot of the older houses in West Asheville, Montford and Waynesville, that is the difference between a dry crawl space and a damp one.
Every job here starts with a free inspection. An exterior consultant gets on the roof, photographs what is there, and sits down with you in person to go through it. You get a written, itemized price, so you can see what the money buys. There is no pressure at the kitchen table. We are not the bargain roofer in Asheville, and we do not try to be. What you get for the difference is a crew that shows up when it says it will, keeps you updated as the job goes, and cleans the site before it leaves, which is what our customers keep mentioning in their reviews.
Choosing
Most calls we get are really this one question. Here is how we answer it on your roof, and what each answer usually means for a house in the mountains.
One leak, a run of shingles lifted by a ridgeline gust, a cracked pipe boot or a rusted chimney flashing on a roof that is otherwise sound. If the shingles still have their granules and the decking is dry, a repair is honest money and we will say so.
Shingles curling or bald across whole slopes, leaks in more than one place, soft spots underfoot, or a roof old enough that every repair is chasing the next one. At that point a new roof costs less over the next few years than patching, and the quote spells out exactly what you get.
If a storm did the damage, especially wind or a tree strike, the order matters. We document everything before anything is touched, make the roof watertight, and give you the photos and write-up your adjuster needs before you decide between repair and replacement.
Sometimes the right answer is nothing yet. A roof with a few more good years gets a note on what to watch and when to call back. You get that in writing after the free inspection whether or not you ever hire us.

These guys are great. I had a roof done about 2 months ago due to wind damage. They came, removed the old roof, installed a new better roof and cleaned up all within 1 day.
